| Dec. 14 | TBA | Family History Center in Vineyard Haven |
| Jan. 11 | Madeline Fisher will speak about French Canadian ancestry and research. She will also talk about the fascinating history of the "Filles du Roi" or "Daughters of the King." They were hundreds of brave French women who agreed to travel to present-day Quebec under the auspices of Louis XIV to marry settlers and help populate a new frontier. | Family History Center in Vineyard Haven |
| Feb. 8 | Marna Waller will talk about the history of early Quakers in New England. Included will be the mystery of her own Quaker ancestor, Rebecca Briggs Cornell, who was supposedly murdered by her son Thomas in Portsmouth, Rhode Island in 1673. The sensational event spawned rumors of domestic abuse and even witchcraft and Thomas Cornell was hanged soon after. A recent book, "Killed Strangely: The Death of Rebecca Cornell," by Fordham History Professor Elaine Forman Crane, raises some doubts however about the actual circumstances. | Family History Center in Vineyard Haven |
| March 14 | Well known Island genealogist Leroy Hazelton will be the speaker. Leroy was the original mentor to many current chapter members and has been doing extensive research to unravel the mysteries of his family background for more than 30 years. Having finally broken through his most stubborn brick wall he is now "relaxing" by working on the history of a certain city block in Haverhill, Mass. which is pertinent to his family history. | Family History Center in Vineyard Haven |
| April 11 | Genealogy Vision Board Workshop. This should be great fun. Summon your creative genes and tap into your intuition to break down those brick walls. Most materials will be provided and more information will be forthcoming at interim meetings. | Family History Center in Vineyard Haven |
